Pre-built history for Dragon Age Origins - No Compromise, the Dwarf Noble option. (see here for more info). As Merrill's canonpoint is likely going to be somewhere in Act II, only the quests up to that canon-point are listed below.

Prologue/Act I:

* Hawke is a warrior, so Carver is killed and Bethany survives
* Hawke and Bethany work for Athenril
* Hawke has a charming/humorous personality
* All companions (including Sebastian) recruited
* Wayward Son: Feynriel is sent to the Dalish, which makes Merrill happy
* Act of Mercy: Hawke successfully tricks the templars, with Varric's help
* Enemies Among Us: Hawke stands up for Keran
* Legacy is played through here, with Varric, Isabel and Merrill in the party. All optional quests that can be done are done, Hawke sides with Janeka because Larius is a fruitbat, and the final fight takes about a million years because it really sucks not having someone around that can revive people. But all is good in the end.
* Blackpowder Promise: Hawke earns respect with the Arishok because Fenris was brought
* The Deep Roads Expedition: Bethany does not go, and is forced to join the Circle

Act II
* Hawke begins a romance with Isabela
* Mark of the Assassin is played here, with Tallis, Isabela and Merrill in the party. Enough bait is gathered to summon the Alpha Wyvern, Isabela keeps the Dagger of the Four Winds because it's pretty, and Hawke flirts shamelessly with Tallis but doesn't get a kiss since Isabela is around. But Isabela takes the flirting in stride anyway because she's Isabela.
* Blackpowder Courtesy: the Viscount was greatly concerned by the Arishok's reaction.

Merrill's Quests:
Act I
* Welcome Home: Hawke indicates he will visit Merrill, uses diplomatic options and flirts with her.
* Nice Crime You Have Around Here: Hawke uses mix of humorous and diplomatic options.

Act II
* Consoling Words: Hawke uses humorous options.
* Mirror Image: Hawke flirts, which gets Merrill to blush. Hawke agrees to go to Sundermount with Merrill to ask the Keeper for the Arulin'Holm, where they fail to save Pol. Merrill is upset by Pol's reaction and death, Hawke uses diplomatic/charming responses. As the quest is completed successfully, Keeper Marethari gives up the Arulin'Holm - but to Hawke. Hawke then gives the special dagger to Merrill.
* Honoring the Fallen: completed along with Mirror Image
* Back From Sundermount: Hawke chooses diplomatic option, Merrill feels confident that even if the clan hates her forever, she'll have helped them.
* Questioning Beliefs: Sad over the death of Pol, Merrill feels unwanted by those around her. Hawke chooses the charming option, calming her down and giving her
